The irony The irony

This Guardian article reads like a comedy piece; though the humour is painfully cruel, and, if anyone in the world still sees the Middle East War as something that doesn't concern them, it's maybe time to wake up.

The other day I re-watched Apocalypse Now, and my thoughts were, did nobody learn anything from that and similar movies about the Vietnam War? Isn't it time to dispense with the delusion of military solutions to human conflicts? Especially now, as we enter an era of autonomic killing machines, while our stupid leaders still squabble over access to the fossil fuels destroying our biosphere.
